Frequently asked questions
How do I make a GIF from images?
Add your pictures, drag them into order, pick a speed and size, then press "Make GIF". The preview shows exactly what you’ll get, and the finished GIF downloads straight to your device.
What do Fast, Normal and Slow mean?
How long each picture stays on screen: Fast shows a frame for 200 ms (five per second), Normal for 500 ms, and Slow for a full second. Fast suits flip-book style motion; Slow suits a slideshow of photos.
My images are different sizes. What happens?
Every frame gets the width you pick (Small 320 px, Medium 480 px or Large 800 px). Pictures that don’t match the frame’s shape are scaled to fit, never stretched or cropped, and the leftover space is filled with white.
Why do my photos look a bit grainy in the GIF?
The GIF format allows at most 256 colours per frame, while a photo can have millions. Missing shades are imitated with fine dot patterns, so smooth skies and skin tones can look slightly speckled. Drawings, text and flat graphics are hardly affected.
Can the GIF play only once?
Yes. Choose "Play once" and the animation stops on the last frame; "Loop forever" repeats it endlessly. Browsers and most apps respect this, though a few chat apps loop every GIF regardless.
How do I keep the file small enough to share?
Use fewer images and the Small or Medium size. Every extra frame and every extra pixel adds weight, so a 10-frame GIF at 320 px is far lighter than 40 frames at 800 px.
