WebP to JPG in 3 steps

  1. Add the WebP pictures you want as JPG.
  2. Click "Convert to JPG" and the photos are ready in seconds.
  3. Download the JPG photos; more than one comes as a ZIP.

Why ConvertKoala?

  • The format everything reads

Messaging apps, email, photo printers, marketplaces and old laptops all open JPG without fuss.

  • Stays compact

For photos, a 92% JPG lands close to the WebP’s size, far smaller than a PNG of the same picture.

  • Product photos in bulk

Collected dozens of WebP product shots or recipes? Convert them all in one pass, no cap.

  • No upload step at all

Your browser does the converting, so there’s no waiting for files to travel to a server and back.

Frequently asked questions

Should I pick JPG or PNG for a WebP?

JPG for photos you want to share, print or post: smaller and universally supported. PNG if the image has a transparent background you want to keep, such as a logo or a sticker; for that, use WebP to PNG.

What happens to transparent parts?

JPG can’t be transparent, so those areas become white. For a photo this changes nothing; for a cut-out logo you’ll see a white box around it.

Will I lose quality?

Very little. The JPG is saved at about 92% quality, which looks the same as the WebP at normal viewing sizes. The WebP itself was already compressed, so no tool can add back detail it doesn’t contain.

Why do websites use WebP if so many apps can’t open it?

Browsers all handle WebP, and smaller images make sites faster. The trouble only starts once a picture leaves the browser and lands in an app that was built before WebP became common.

Can I send the result on WhatsApp or by email?

Yes, that is exactly what JPG is good for. Some apps turn a WebP into a sticker or reject it as an attachment; a JPG goes through as a normal photo.

Does it work on Android and iPhone?

Yes. Open this page in your mobile browser, pick the WebP files and download the JPGs to your gallery or Files app.
