Frequently asked questions

How do I crop a photo to a square for a profile picture?

Choose your photo, pick the 1:1 ratio and drag the box over the part you want to keep. The box stays square while you move or resize it. Press "Crop" and you get a square image ready for WhatsApp, Instagram or any profile.

Can I crop several images at once?

No, this tool crops one image at a time, because each photo needs its own frame. When you are done, press "Start over" and pick the next one. It takes a few seconds per image.

Does cropping reduce the quality?

The pixels you keep are not stretched or blurred. PNG and WebP are saved without visible change; a JPG is re-saved at high quality, so the difference is very hard to spot. The file usually gets smaller simply because there are fewer pixels.

What do the numbers next to the box mean?

They show the width and height of the cropped area in pixels, updated live as you drag. Use them when a form or platform asks for a specific size. If you need an exact size like 600 × 600, crop to the right shape here and then use Resize Image.

Can I crop on my phone?

Yes. Open this page in your phone’s browser, tap "Choose files" and pick a photo. Drag the box and its corners with your finger. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported; iPhone’s HEIC format is not supported yet.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The crop is done inside your browser on your own device. Your image never reaches our servers, and nothing is kept once you close the page.
