PDF to PNG in 3 steps

  1. Choose the PDF you want as images.
  2. Pick a quality: Small (72 DPI), Normal (144 DPI) or High (216 DPI).
  3. Press "Convert to PNG" and download one PNG, or a ZIP for several pages.

Why ConvertKoala?

  • No fuzz around letters

JPG leaves faint smudges around text and thin lines. PNG keeps every edge clean, which matters for documents, charts and slides.

  • Ready for slides and docs

Drop a page straight into PowerPoint, Google Slides, Notion or a design tool, at a resolution you choose.

  • Rendered on your device

Contracts and reports are drawn into images by your own browser. The PDF is never uploaded.

  • Whole documents at once

No page cap. Every page becomes its own numbered PNG, packed into one ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose PNG or JPG?

PNG for pages with text, tables, diagrams or slides: edges stay perfectly sharp. JPG for pages that are mostly photos, where it makes much smaller files. For that, use PDF to JPG.

Which quality should I pick?

Normal (144 DPI) suits screens, documents and slides. Small (72 DPI) gives light images for quick previews. High (216 DPI) keeps tiny print readable when you zoom in or print, but the files are bigger.

How many pixels will each image have?

It depends on the page size and quality. An A4 page comes out at about 595 × 842 px on Small, 1190 × 1684 px on Normal and 1786 × 2526 px on High. A US Letter page is a little wider and shorter.

Can I convert just one page?

This tool converts every page. For a single page, first pull it out with Split PDF, then convert the new one-page file here to get one PNG with no ZIP.

Why are the PNGs larger than JPGs would be?

PNG is lossless: it stores every pixel exactly instead of approximating. That’s what keeps text sharp, and it costs some file size, especially for pages full of photos.

Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

Not yet. Open the file with its password, save an unprotected copy, then add that copy here. If a file is encrypted, we tell you clearly instead of failing silently.
